Pick one of the 10 Traits of a Godly Man and explain why it is important to you.

"A Godly Man Serves others Sacrificially" - Trait 3

Humility is important to me because having a heart of humility allows us to be a servant to those around us. Humility requires patience, which is also crucial to our daily walk with the Lord. Humility gives us the opportunity to serve others which can create opportunities to spread His Word.
Have you been involved with FCA or FCA Hockey in the past? What has been your experience with us? How has FCA Hockey impacted you?

I have been a part of FCA for 3 years now, and it is so powerful being in fellowship with fellow believers. FCA has impacted me in such a profound way, as I have been pushed to be held accountable in my faith, and to shine the Lord’s light to others around me. One thing I have learned from being with FCA is how to spread the word and plant His seed. I used to be scared and not know how to approach others. I was scared to pray at center ice and to be bold with my faith, but when I went to my first FCA camp I was shown it’s okay to be bold, and it will plant seeds in your teammates around you even if you don’t notice at first.

What is your favorite scripture verse? Why is this important to you?

My favorite verse is 1 John 3:16, which reads, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”

This is my favorite verse because it shows us our salvation through Jesus Christ, and secondl,y reminds us to serve others before ourselves.
