Team: Alexandria Area Hockey Association - Bantam A
Hometown: Alexandria, MN
Birth Year: 2004
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 205 lbs.
Chosen Attribute: Teamwork
Why is this important to you?
Teamwork is very important to me. When I play, I don’t care one bit about my points or goals, I just want to be there to help my team succeed. I believe that if 1 or 2 players on a team can be selfless and make every decision they do on the ice for the team, it will spread to the whole team and you will end up with a team of players that are selfless. That creates a bond between teammates when they make sacrifices for each other.
Have you been involved with FCA or FCA Hockey in the past? What has been your experience with us? How has FCA Hockey impacted you?
I have been going to FCA hockey camps since I was 9 years old. Last year I did Jr. Team FCA and it was an amazing experience. Staying overnight with a bunch of other awesome kids and leaders helped me strengthen my faith. I’m still friends with all of those kids today and hope to see them again soon.
What is your favorite scripture verse? Why is this important to you?
Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
I got a cross shield necklace with this verse on it after my hip injury that I thought would end my season. I always kept it in my heart and it helped me stay positive. I believe that this bible verse helped me recover faster than I should have. My doctor told me 4-6 months and I was back on the ice in less than 3 months.
What else should we know about you?
I have always been involved in multiple sports at school and in the community. I have played youth baseball since I could swing a bat. I have also been involved in Track & Field and football. My parents volunteer at the Northstar Sports Complex here in Alexandria and we are a Billet family for players attending Northstar Christian Academy.
My parents are Steve & Michelle. I have an older brother Matthew and older sister Lauren. We attend St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria.
During the last 6 weeks I have been shooting pucks outside which has been a stress reliever for me.
